Why do barely any pro skiers have there own pro topsheet designs or something? In the skateboard world, when you go pro you you usually get a pro model design. just seems like it would be really cool for the sport. Thoughts...
I feel like that would overwhelm some buyers by thinking that a particular brand has 137472 different models of skis. But who knows. Material constraints? Idk
Because skis cost a lot more to make than skate decks, and there is way more to their construction than skate decks. Skiers want pro-models mainly because they want their ski to ski and feel a certain way. You don't have that in the skate world. Simply put there is too much investment involved from the brand's and shop's perspective to stock lots and lots of ski options when it is simply a matter of different top sheet.
