Why does EoS get so much hate? I get that the editing in Phil's part can be a little much, but I personally liked it. The only annoying thing in it for me was some of the "lifestyle" shots in tanners seg.

I'm gonna jump on the anti-Partly Cloudy bandwagon. I really didn't like the vibe or the music. There were certainly some standout segments and shots (Wesson, Nipwitz crew, LSM, backy over Sun Valley hip) but as I whole I felt like it was fairly forgettable.

All Poor Boyz films since 2005 (stale/boring formula).

The Ordinary Skier and Few Words (both overhyped, too high expectations, way more so than Sherpas' two films).

The first year I went to IF3 in 2010, I saw the worst ski film I've ever seen, it's Invincibles by a bunch of french dudes that I don't remember their name. It was 1h15min long and seemed like it last 3 hours, and 4bi9 were screening Gunnie Season right after and everyone in the theater was yelling '4bi9!4bi9!'

The editing in both of those was actually really good. Im not saying I like the style it was made in ( the phil segments in EoS) but in general they had some really good, clever editing in both movies. I agree that EoS went a little over the top with the marijuana/T-Hall theme tho hehe.

Let it flow was really good though, definitely pretty hard on the "Thug" side, but it made its point and is just another aspect of skiing. I totally don't understand the hate it's getting.

Yeah Dude - years of quality PBP movies ended when Johnny Decesare stopped directing. That shift was pretty evident here.

Actually, all PBP movies that followed Ski Porn have been pretty bad (with the exception of a few segments here and there)

no offense to those guys, but 4bi9's Keep Looking was really shitty. They slo-moed almost every shot and it was barely 20 minutes long

I regret buying anything from PBP after Grand Bizarre. Also After dark was awful apart from certain segments. Only saw 1 segment of EOS and had to stop it was that painful

I know its outside of this decade window, but salad days wins hands down.

Only thing it had going for it was a 30 second segment of mikael d. and a small decent seg with dash longe. Everything else was just filmed at superpark, parkasaurus, and other comps. It was like they bought up the c-reel footage from other companies that year and edited it to shitty music to say they created a jib flick for that year.

I know a lot of that is the result of the time it was made, but shit, it was just way behind everything else that year and all other years.

If i am watching a ski movie i normally have no complaints. I mean its about skiing and every aspect of skiing is awesome but as long as we are throwing production company's under the bus. I am going to go with any TGR movie. They just fail to keep my attention.

Watch a ski flick made by ANY semi-reputable production company. And then, watch EoS. Separate out whatever bias you have towards the individuals involved in the project, disregard the level of skiing on display, and try and focus on the filming, editing, color correction, b roll, audio, music, overall presentation.

If you still feel like any of the B&E projects stack up. you are honestly just 100% indoctrinated.

I love watching Henrik and Phil ski. I love that they've made a priority out of visiting small mountains, hitting relatable features in unique ways, and lastly I love that they feel so strongly about creative control and maintaining a level of uncompromising individuality. Trick for trick, they're 2 of the most incredibly talented and stylish skiers doing it.

All that said, they've done themselves a massive disservice by pumping out an incredibly inferior product. There is no comparison between the quality of footage and shots that those two have obtained within the framework of a competent and organized film co and what they've been able to produce in collaboration with Inspired. Who is their filmer/editor? Emil or something? I think it's honestly the biggest gap between athlete ability and production quality within the entire industry. It's a real shame.

When your season-long itunes' released "movie" looks several times worse than a respectable webisode, there's a real problem. I am a complete novice in all things film, but fortunately and unfortunately, really shoddy work is immediately apparent even to someone like myself. Maybe every shot is impeccably framed and slavishly devoted to concepts like the rule of thirds, but when the resolution is handycam level grainy, the white balance and overall color are so strange you can't even tell whether it was sunny or not, and those things are backed up by Tim and Eric level visual effects and overlays.....well, it is what it is.

I really wish those two would attempt to pull off something like the Wallisch Project, or attempt to woo someone like Decker to produce a truly professional looking flick because it would be all-time great. Where's Ostness? Has he done anything since 44 Days? That was fucking rad.

In the meantime, I'll continue to support their work because I like their skiing that much, but in my opinion, on nearly every technical level, their movies look like absolute shit.

Pretty much agree with everyone here. I tried watching EOS when it came out and only got through like the 15 minutes, and only made it through the first 5 minutes of the B&E movie.

I run the ski club at my college and every year we premier a ski film to get students hyped on the upcoming seasons, by seasons passes, and get free shit. Last year we premiered WE, and i was quite disappointed. I got super stoked on the trailer but once i saw the movie i was kinda pissed.

I do have to say, my favorite all time ski movie is Seven Sunny Days, pretty much anything that came out that year was awesome. Ideas, Hunting Yeti, Refresh, Ski Porn, and Yea Dude are my personal favorites

Chubz.dane tudor has like a 25 minute segment.


Apart from the Dane Tudor mini movie Revolver is an awesome movie. Even if you just consider his first segment its a good movie. Sammy kills it, JP has his best seg in years, Durtschi does a fucking double 10 on chads and then Dumont has his best segment ever IMO. but the 30 minutes of Tudor and the obnoxious dubstep kills the overall vibe

besides tanners part i liked EoS, it was different and memorable. let it flow was way worse.

Education of Style and After Dark were good movies but really not as good as I expected.

B&E teased the fans so much on FB and Newschoolers about EOS so I was expecting a more complete movie. They could've have done a park shoot for a more complete friends segment just like in Blackout (instead of using some rnaodm footage form everywhere). Also there's obviously too much effects(I mean even when you watch it high Phil's part have too much colored shapes and circles flying everywhere).

For After Dark I felt like they've put a bit less effort in the structure and the acting (or maybe they just had less time) but it was nothing close to Eye Trip.

Not sure which one, but definitely a PBP film. If it wasn't for Karl's seg in WE, that movie would have been a toss IMO. They just have lost steam since EDIAS. Sure there are some good shots, but as whole I usually find myself a bit disappointed with PBP

Any PBP movie after Everyday is a Saturday. Revolver was a super let down.
The Level 1 movies after Eye Trip went pretty downhill. I was really disappointed in afterdark
I love the B&E movie and I EoS except for Tanner's part. I skip it every time.
Some of the best OG ones tho are Warren Miller's Playground, Coldfusion, and Off the Grid
4bi9 Gunnie Season is still one of my favorite movies to date.
Stept How We Livin' wasn't bad. Pretty good for an OG urban movie

I've been skiing park for 6 years now so I can't really judge on the movies past those years, but every year I went to IF3 and for me there was no bad movies at all, all of them are different. One thing i can rely to though is that after the HUGE hype PBP made with Everyday is A Saturday, Revolver really dissapointed me, but it's just my opinion

what's wrong with WE?? I like it alot and have seen it as many times as any other ski movie I own.

Have to agree with into the mind though. The visuals were awesome at first but it soon felt like the movie relied on it entirely and got stale quickly. Could not make it trough in one sitting.

Honestly, Tracing Skylines was pretty bad, excluding the Detroit segment. But even that was a mediocre segment. A good story and skiing, but spaced out way too much.
