What's the funniest way you've broken poles?

I was skiing in the park and came off a barrel shaped and painted to look like a hot dog. 270 out, when i got to the bottom of the park, noticed I was missing half of my pole. Go back up, the bottom half of the pole was stuck in jump to the hotdog barrel. To this day i still use the remains of the pole as a POV GoPro pole.

Everytime we get on the lifts my friend does the poles between your legs and you sit on them thing. I never understood why he did it...seems uncomfortable as fuck but whatever...to each their own. Anyways we got to the top one day and he forgot about the poles between his legs. We all got off the chair and looked back and my friend was literally dangling by his crotch over the poles for about 3 seconds. The chair kept going and when he went to go down the off ramp he just got hoisted up because the chair stays at the same height. The poles snapped and he crushed his nut sack over them. Never have I laughed so hard at a mountain.

I was hitting a flat box with a drop and I went for the blind 270 and as I landed my pole stuck into the snow and the end of my pole (grip part) stabbed me in the throat and snapped it in half instantly. I sat there for a few minutes choking on my compressed windpipe. Crazy shit

didn't break my own but broke my friends...
I was a young gaper, ten years old or so, and my friend bent his pole on the midstation. I at the time thought I was an expert with skiing equipment at the time and said " I can fix this for you" so I took his pole and whipped it against a tree... you can guess it snapped in half.
Funniest thing is they were his rental poles.

My first year skiing I hit a jump and attempted a spread eagle and I stayed in that position untill I landed and both of my poles broke in half.

I was going through some trees and got bucked into a tree. I instinctually put my hands in from of me, and my pole got directly wedged between me and the tree. It snapped on my stomach in then I smacked the tree. I had a grip-sized bruise on my tummy for a few weeks.

Last saturday i was riding after a snow storm and we built a jump on an ungroomed trail. I was hitting it all day and then i stopped for a bit then came back later and the lip was gone. I was like fuck it and threw a flat which i had been able to do earlier on the jump but i only made it 3/4 of the way around.I slammed and at the bottom of the landing and then i looked up because my friend was behind me. he noticed my pole sticking out of the ground and he yanked it out super fast to be funny and hit himselft in the face because the pole was bent 90 degress like this: L

I was sitting on my poles on the lift, when i got off they got stuck on the chair. Not only did they smash my balls, they got caught between myself and the turning chair. Bent and snapped right in half. I was so embarrassed, the guy working the lift came out and just stared at me.

I've never broken poles but I've broken some pretty funny things with them. A year or two ago I was outside of the lodge trying to get my friends attention. I started tapping on the window with the rubber handle of my pole. After the theirs tap the pole broke through both pains of glass. I wasn't even hitting the window hard just enough so it made a noise so I booked it to the lift before anybody saw.

I tried to fill my poles with maple syrup once, caught an edge dropping a cliff and snapped it by landing on it. Ended up spilling the syrup everywhere.
Also, I broke a pole moving into my dorm room.

I tried to shoot it like an arrow using a crossbow because a guy tried to steal them and I had a crossbow lying around. The crossbow string cut straight through it lengthwise

I took a tumble, bending my walmart pole a solid 130 degrees, the funny part was I could bend it back no problem.

I was coming to a stop, sliding sideways, and my pole got stuck under the downhill-facing ski and stopped me instantly, I lost my balance and ended sitting slowly down on my pole, bending it until it snapped. It was a good laugh and a free gopro mount thingy so it was all in all a good day

I also once tried a really tall handrail with a small kicker when i was a complete noob, needless to say I ate shit, broke an arm and snapped my pole. It wasn't badly broken though, it just hurt alot for two months or so until i finally went to the doc who told me it had most likely broken and pretty much healed itself, no cast, pretty sweet

The longest lift ehre is a T bar, so whenever I go on it, I put the bar between my legs and hang the poles by their straps on one side of the T under my ass.

One time, I was going along with my business, until the lift stopped, and everyone slipped backwards a little. My poles proceeded to start a raging battle with my anus over its virginity.

Needless to say this isnt the anal virginity thread. my poles broke.

I broke my first pair of poles drumming on the chairlift bar bending them like a banana. Being as dumb as I was I tried to bend them back and then they snapped.
