Replying to Looking for a Summer Internship
I am currently enrolled in a small program (only 30 accepted), Renaissance College, at the University of New Brunswick completing my Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Leadership. In this program I am to complete a couple summer internships including my upcoming Canadian internship. It can also be in the United States if necessary. This internship has very few requirements except it must be a minimum of 10 weeks and start after April and end before September. I would really like an internship in the ski industry or something close including other action sports and Newschoolers is a great place to start. As for myself I am 18 (19 by this summer), I have been skiing since I was 2 and freestyle for the last 6 years. As well, I have a decent bit of work experience for my age and I can send a resume to whoever would like to review it. It includes 6 years of being a kayaking and white-water rafting guide, kids camp director and instructor, work in the restaurant business as well as working the front desk of a ski village resort and more. I have experience with videography and skiing with my freestyle ski group and can send my videos. Also this internship is considered a semester and my grading will be determined by my reports and the reports of my employer, so a hard worker is guaranteed. Being a semester I will have to pay `tuition` therefore a paid internship would be great though not completely necessary. Any offers or suggestions to look into would be awesome, thanks Newschoolers!
