Hey guys, so life sucks right now.
Yesterday I broke my tibia skiing. I understand it can be 3-6 months for recovery but the doctors have not told me yet. I'm looking for tips/helpful suggestions for recovery and rehab. Suggestions/tips from those of you who have done this before are greatly appreciated.
Just let it heal.... i broke mine on St. Patricks day and was able to ski on greens again by the last two weeks....never thought i would be so happy on a green slope! Basically RICE (rest ice compress and elevate) is the best thing you can do...take your time now and you will be happy later
Yup they gave me painkillers, which somewhat help. I'm not that great in the park, so I've been trying to improve, as I'm a great skier on the other hills(if I do say so myself). I had 360s pretty much down, but I threw one off a small jump, and I landed I think on my left foot weirdly(I don't exactly know what I did). I actually have broken this bone before. Apparently I had a cyst on my bone which weakened the one spot, and of course I hit that exact spot. It wasn't too bad of a crash, and it didn't seem like enough to break a bone, so I think the cyst had a big part in it.
sucks to hear that, only thing you can do is deal with the pain and watch a bunch of edits. Get amped for the next time you go out so you can throw something big right away.
