If by saying "canting" you mean upper cuff alignment, then this would not help. Cuff alignment just matches the lateral angle of the cuff to match the curvature of your lower leg. It is more a comfort adjustment than anything.
If by saying "canting" you mean the actual canting of the lower shell via planning the sole a certain way, then yes this might help. But you need to have certain boots that allow for this kind of adjustment, usually boots that are solid sole (no replaceable grip pads).
But what will help you out the most and provide you with a stable level stance is to get custom footbeds. Footbeds place your foot in a strong, neutral stance which in turn affects your leg, knee, hip, and back alignment. Even if you wanted to do cuff alignment or canting, you absolutely need to have a proper footbed first because your body's alignment will be off and therefore so will either of these adjustments.
