Not another backflip thread

Ok well kind of. When I do a Backflip it turns into a Backflip 90. Am I just not popping evenly?

This also happens when I tried licoln loop. I get the flip part but land side ways and kind of back seat. Any tips? Thanks

for lincolns make sure you pick a spot ahead of you and keep looking at it throughout the flip. I still cant do them on skis but learning them on the tramp i have the same problem as you and spotting a certain object through the whole flip helps alot

Yeah that usually happens because you're trying to look over a shoulder or something to spot your landing, instead of looking straight back. So make sure you keep looking back, and keep that commitment because you;ll spot it soon enough.

Yeah, you're probably not throwing them straight. Are you cheating and trying to spot your landing early over your shoulder or something?

Ok ill try that. Any other tips that most people have trouble with? I think as long as I get a strong pop and spot I should be fine

this just means you need to only flip off of lips of rails, LJ style

Takes a while to get over the fear of just going straight back. You'll keep on trying to spot early over your shoulder until you get the confidence to just sit it out until it appears over your head. Best way to get over it is tramp/foam-pit/airbag practice. Lincolns, I found i just wasn't setting them straight. Pick a point straight ahead of you and keep staring at it the whole way through. Again, trampoline practice will help loads.
