Hey guys just joined today. ive been freestyle skiing for 3 years. i live in Prescott WI and ski mainly Afton Alps. I ran into a predicament today and i want to see if anybody has got some insight on what i want to know. Ive been riding volkls since i started skiing. back in 2009 i bought a pair of volkl ledges as my first twin tip ski. i skied one year on them for fun then skied 3 years freestyle on them no problem at all. I bought a pair of 2013 ledges last year on end of season sale to use this year. so ive probably put 10 days of skiing on them and it is already falling apart. the top layer is pealing from the bottom on the front tip. it is disappointing. i noticed that the 2013s were made in china. does anybody know when (or if they always had) moved to manufacture skis in china? i am thinking the 2009s were not and that's why they have been holding up. or that i might have just got unlucky with the new pair.
