What Camera Setup would you buy with $25K

Very simple question, what camera setup would you buy with $25,000? There are a lot of options out there today for this price range and if you had the funds to invest into your production business what you spend it on? It depends on what you do, so lets make it easy and say 30% Action Sports 50% Ad/Corporate, and 20% Doc Work. Lets include body, Lenses, Rig, Accessories. Would love to hear some opinions from some serious gear heads the roam the M&A Forum.

Id buy a red epix x and then pimp it out with one of those huge glidecams, some nice lens,oh and if I had any money left over prob a gh2 some wide angle lens with that and an octo flying thingy to mount it on. I forget what they are called

a red epic is around 20k so you couldnt get any lenses or steadycam

i would go with an fs700 and odyssey q7 with a ziess prime kit

or maybe sony f5 kit but then i couldnt get any lenses

With 25k I would get:

An FS700 with odyssey 7Q+Firmware upgrade
A Set of Zeiss CP.2 Cine Primes
Canon 24-70L IS
Canon 70-200L IS
Tokina 11-16
Rode NTG3 With Boom Mount+Blimp
2 wireless Lav Systems
A Mid range Tripod/head
A Couple arri lights
A Glidecam/steadicam rig
With extra Money if any (batts, sd cards, Kessler gear,Fstop bags)


That would give you a pretty kickass kit

Not to flame on you, but a ready to shoot Epic (New) without lenses would cost about 25K. An a "huge glidecam" - for a professional one will set you back at about 20K. Don't forget about lenses too! Why settle for Canon L lenses or even Zeiss CP.2s? Arri Ultra and Masterprime costs 12K-30K a lens and you'll need at least a couple of those guys.

Sooo with 25k, I'd buy :

- Canon 70-200mm f4 or f2.4
- A teleconverter 2x
- A remote flash
- Super fast writing CF card
- Kessler timelapse slider
- A car

and that is pretty much it !
