Line chronics center mark

I recently bought 2014 line chronics and I asked the employee to mount my binding center. After a couple days in the park, I realized that the center mark of my skis was actually not in the center of my skis so my bindings were a little bit on the back of my skis.

If you are buying those skis check if the center mark is center because you may have to remount them.

Let me know if some of you had the same problem

the shop should measure the ski to find true center. if they just used the line you need to find a new shop that doesnt suck balls

yea but i live in east coast so there not tons of shop

The Chronic is not a truly symmetrical ski, so that is why Line does not put the center mark at measured center. They put it at sidecut center, which is slightly back of measured center and honestly for that ski is better than measured center.

Simply saying "mount it center" is meaningless since there are different "centers" depending on the type/purpose of the ski:
measured center
balance point center
sidecut center

Picking the wrong one for your ski can cause them to ski (best case) a little funny and sometimes be downright annoying to be on.

If you like how they ski, then I wouldn't. I have had this conversation numerous times, and I don't see the point to mounting a non-symmetrical ski at measured center. It was not designed for that, so don't do it. Jason Levinthal (the man responsible for your ski) also holds the same opinion.

haha I know who is jason levinthal, i'm not that dumb! i just think that park skis that aren't center look weird! like you said i don't think i would feel a big difference, it's more for the style aspect. If the skis are not made do be mounted at measured center why line rider mount them center?
