A hoodies ability to keep you warm is not a good measure of its quality. I have a $500 shell jacket that doesn't keep me warm if I don't layer properly.
As for their shoes, they range in price from $40-$200+. You pay for what you get. I've had cheap shoes that fell apart quickly and I have a pair of $200 nike weightlifting shoes that I've used almost everyday for a year and it looks like I just took them out of the box.
Nike makes some crappy stuff, but they also make some of the best in the world and they have a lot of money to put into product development. IF they wanted to make a ski boot, I have no doubts they would hire the right people and make a good product. I'm all for more products on the market if it means a better product at more affordable prices.
I don't see it happening for a long, long time, if ever, so this thread should just die.
Why? Because because I take weightlifting seriously and choose to wear the best shoes out there (other than maybe Adidas)? Feel free to criticize me when you know what you're talking about.
People buy shell jackets to repel water and wind, not to keep them warm. Just because that is the purpose of a shell jacket does not mean that people buy hoodies for the same reason. Warmth is a HUGE factor in deciding a hoodie to buy.
It's weightlifting, please enlighten me as to how your shoes make a big enough difference to be worthh 200? You literally just pick shit up and put shit down, I've been power-lifting for the past 3 years and have never heard of someone needing "weightlifting shoes" do they have extra support or something, I'm honestly curious.
