I always snake the straight airers. I wouldn't if they went as soon as the jump is clear but they usually discuss who is going to be the next one to hit the jump, after each person.
So I just cut in while they are doing their thing or whatever.
I don't see why you would make such a drama about who is gonna go first. JUST GO!!!

when people do this i lift my ski up and place it on the tip of theirs and step down as hard as i can.

they get the message pretty quick.

I hate to say it but that is spot on. None of the lifts at my mountain even have bars
