This is an undeniably good thing, everyone's pumped. People like the experience of walking into a business, having dozens of choices, the ability to purchase edibles and concentrates reliably, and if nothing else at all, the ability to snag a little something different now and again when their guy is out or not around.
And, you've exaggerated the expense. I won't say more, but you're characterization is high. Not to mention the fact that in one year's time, the price will drop between 10-15% with the ending of the excise tax.
It all is largely symbolic, and will be seen as one of the biggest blows to marijuana prohibition in this country. A cultural attitude and paradigm shift is underway, and this is a major step to the end of marijuana being demonized far beyond it's actual effects.
