Breckenridge Peak 6 Big Mtn Comp Petition

Already posted in Regionals. Got 104 signed so far. The terrain would be great for a LOCAL competition in Summit County, not a FWT comp. Help me convince Vail Resorts this is a great idea. Yes I know it will be difficult, but they are already going to do something internally on Peak 6 competition wise. With your voice we could see something sick, something like Line Catcher Sick. Thanks for the support guys!

I think it would be sweet if the comp was paired with a park comp too, like every athlete competes in both park and big mountain and whoever places highest in the combined aspects takes 1st place

I would agree that squaw and kirkwood are much better option then peak even though peak 6 east wall looks sweet.

theres some epic shit on peak 5 and 6 but a patroller told me those zones would be permanently closed and getting caught in them might mean an actual ticket from the forest service, so i doubt they can have comps on those cliffs

On the topic of A Basin, it would be cool to have an event that starts at the top of upper east wall and then has some man-made jumps scattered throughout land of the giants and lower east wall. The focus would be creativity.

Or maybe do like some sort of mini-golf comp in sort of a rail jam format on any cool cliffs or features on the mountain.

only on the north side of the lift, everything on the south side is fair game. That closed zone you're talking about is definitely some gnarly terrain, it'd need a lot of snow to have a comp for it for sure.

haha yeah I'm laughing at the people comparing brick to places like squaw and kirkwood, like no shit ya think? We're pretty aware out here that brick is not exactly the gnarliest but the peak 6 terrain would entertain a pretty fun huckfest and overall good times, isn't that what it's all about?

no, its about spinning more, hucking harder, skiing faster and scoring more points.


But logically if a competetion were to combine park and big mountain, the BM part would have to be fairly short so that the skiers legs werent fried once they got the the 80 foot breck booters. It could work.

yeah peak 5 terrain is like squaw cept we dont get that maritime snow that squaw gets therefore it cant be skied like squaw. all peak 6 terrain has potential
