I know that there is a feedback system and about 90% of the time its always good. have any of you run in to someone who actually scammed you or had a friend scammed?
Meh, there have been scammers but it's not bad, if their feedback is good 95% of the time they're legit. There aren't really any repeat scammers, most people get busted and hightail it out of here. Just be smart with your transactions, pay through regular (non-gift) paypal and keep track of your conversations
Why the fuck would these kids buy from him after someone wrote "bought stuff from him this winter still hasnt come". but i'm interested in what happens to these people.
I would like to think the percentage is probably even better than that on legitness..and the worst is when people become lazy and it's almost a mission to see how long they can go avoiding pm's and the post office!
no, we try not to get involved with B/S/T scuffles, it's your business what you do there, there are disclaimers saying that's the case, and its not like we CAN do anything but make a bigger mess if we did get involved.
yeah, some kids struggle with the concept that selling something online involves shipping it. Don't sell it unless you're willing to make that trip to the post office
Yeah that's what i was trying to say. But it's truly fucked if someone would try to pull that kind of stuff on a fellow park skiier. the percentage of us is not very high and scamming a fellow brother is ridiculous
Trust me, most people that get called out for scamming do not get treated very well afterwards, and you don't se them hang around for long. It's definitely a lame move but luckily doesn't happen that much
Absolutely, but if you had intentions to scam then paypal would not be much of an issue, because there are many ways to get around it. for example, if you make the person send it to you as a gift then it is non refundable and there are many subliminal things that can go on during any transation
It happens every once a while, usually they get the fuck out pretty quickly because the NS community goes ham. I've only gotten scammed once for $150 in probably the 30-40 transactions I've done on here, so its a rare occurrence.
Almost got scammed but didn't pull the trigger on the deal. I reverse image searched the pictures in his thread and found he took them from an old thread from like 2004. Deal was just a little too good to be true, I think he scammed some kids out of some full tilts and iphones too.
