Right now the conditions are amazing. Mount Bohemia is a better choice to go to after it snows. So planning a trip more then a week in advance, you are taking a gamble. However, since this year has been amazing, you really can't go wrong. If you want the best possible conditions, go right after or during a snow storm. The mountain receives lake effect snow almost every day, in the form of a few inches. If yo time it correctly after a decent storm, you will love it.
For lodging you can rent one of the cabins for abour $150 a night. Or if you have more people you can book a yurt, which sleeps 10 I believe, or you can pay $25 and stay in the main yurt "lodge"/ hostel with other people.
The mountain is bare bones from a resort standpoint. It is very very far up north in the Kewenaw peninsula, very small towns around, not much lodging or hotels. The biggest town is Houghton, which is about 45 min drive from bohemia. If you want to stay in a hotel/motel that is going to be your best bet, unless you want to drive all the way to the tip of the peninsula and stay in copper harbor, which is one the smallest towns I have ever been too.
I recommend staying in the hostel/lodge, because its super cheap, includes breakfast, and makes it really easy to get first chair. Bring your own food, or buy some cheap bar from from the lodge. I recommend bringing your own food.
The skiing is awesome, tons of drops, and cliffs, and great snow quality. zero ice.
