Line Chronic 2014 bases "Glitch"?

I bought a pair of Line 2014 Chronics, and got them stolen the first day :(. They had green and black on the base. Now, I bought another pair and these ones have an orange and black base. They are the same length, 185.

I loved the green, but I'm not liking the orange that much.

Does line make different bases variants on the same length? Never heard of that on skis.

Line uses the excess colors from cutting differents sets of bases for use on other sets of bases. It saves material. Imagine the stuff left over from some stickers that you dont use but it is the negative shape of the sticker, it is like that if that makes sense

Yeah I had the 2011 chronics and halfway through the season they basically switched the base. All the black spots were now blue and vice versa.
