My Binding Crusade

Ok let me just start by saying that I'm a complete fucking ski nerd. I know the dementions and lengths of all this years twins.

So last year I destroyed a pair of look p10s on a big 5. They were super dead, the heelpiece what all cock-eyed and bent and the brake bust apart. so after this happened I went on a crusade to find out y this happened to my bindings.

I just found out y it happened. Because of the high angle on the heelpiece (the whole mechanism is above the heel of your boot) when you land of ski switch alot it puts crazy pressure and tork on the binding and eventaully they die on you.

This has been your warning, looks will die if you ski switch alot.

Deal w/ what you have, i use Old Skool Salos and they've been bomber, but when the DEADBOLTs come jump on those

i have never ridden a look/axial bindings before, only high end salomon... they where somehow always cheaper when i needed to get new bindings. but i picked up some p12 jibs instead of getting s912ti's, too mount on my stealths for this winter. Well see how they go... deadbolts look promisiing.

i only ride pivots. or the older tt series. they work great, no problem with 'landing switch' or riding switch either.

i have some older rossi race fks 180, and thay seem to hold up pretty well. i think racingbindings are superb for jibbing.

they are durable, that is for sure^. i love my rossi scratch 140s, they are super solid. they fell off the top of my buddies parents car at 30 mph and are fine
when i was 2 my parents put me on a pair of sticks.....i have been running wild ever since.

i have p18s and i have some older tt9s available if i need them. built like a freakin tank thats for sure.

well the p18, FKS, and TTs are all built to take the pressure of racing on fucking downhill courses, and when the din goes up (from p10 to p14) the bindings are built to support more weight hence they can take more abuse. The race bindings should be safe, I worry about to other bindings though.
