Whattup Newschoolers?

After trashing the bases on my AR7s hitting urban and riding over concrete (would not recommend), I'm in search of a new pair of park skis. I've limited my choices down to a few, but am open to suggestions. However, first I'll give you a rundown of me:

Bio:
6'1"
180lbs
Very aggressive skier
I'm much better on rails than jumps
Prefer a stiffer ski because I'm a bigger guy
70% rails 30% jumps

What I'm looking for: Stiffer ski that I can still butter around with (Similar to AR7s). Must have a fast base, cambered, and DURABLE EDGES. If you're not from the midwest you probably wouldn't understand how many rails we hit, every night of the week haha.

What I'm debating between:

Liberty LTE: Had a pair of them like 4 years ago when I was more of a noob so I don't remember/don't know how well they performed.

Armada AR7: My current skis, I have very little complaints. Bomber durability and a pretty nice ski; however, I like to get different pairs of skis, but if they're my best choice I'm willing to buy them again.

ON3P Prester: Had some Filthy Riches, loved how they performed but had durability issues with two pairs so that's my concern with these along with possibly being to stiff. I know there is kind of a bias towards them on here.

Volkl Wall: Have rode them before, like them just concerned a little with durability.

Rossignol Scratch: LOVE the way they ride, their weight, and pop. But, I'm very concerned with their edge durability...:/

Faction Candide 1.0: Seem like a dope ski, just don't know if $650 is worth it for a park ski...maybe the Kennedy or Silas?

So your task is to do one of the following: pick a ski from that list, add to that last, cross off from that list, whatever you want I just need to narrow it down.

I really appreciate you reading this super long ski thread, I'm kind of picky when it comes to stuff like this. 10/10 K as always for help, thanks!

You sound like you are pretty hard on skis, so maybe you could try more of a disposable ski like the Surface Blanks. Surface also has older double times (which are stiffer) for like $150 I think

Since you liked the AR7 but want something different you could try the Alpha X since it has pretty much the same build construction

But otherwise I would just go with another pair of AR7. I also find it odd that you had a better experience with AR7's than Filthy Rich's durability-wise, and since you liked the Filthy's you could just try again.

What durability issues did you have with the FR's?

There isn't much on here about the Prester's yet. I have some on order, and am looking forward to riding them very much.

Fully cambered, non-symmetrical, bamboo core...mmmmm

You might want to try the Armada Pipe Cleaners.  They have the same edges as the AR7, but race base and a slightly softer flex.

My first pair of FRs I snapped both tails on a frontflip (not really concerned about that happening again) but also had a lot of edge cracks.

My second pair I had about 3 feet of edge missing by the time the core got waterlogged and the bindings pulled out. So mostly I'm just concerned with the edge durability

I would've said FRs are pretty bomber for rails with the really thick edges. But if you're skiing 70% rails all season, personally I'd be surprised if you didn't have a single edge crack.

Out of the list you provided in the OP, I'd give FRs a go again, or even the Prester. Price wise, I don't really think the Candide 1.0s are worth the money. ON3P kind of money is my limit on park skis.

I know the Presters aren't out yet but can anybody speak on the stiffness of them in comparison to say Volkl Walls?

Of your list volkl walls were my favorite ski.

Good flex, stiff enough to rip at 50+ mph but still soft enough to send pretty smooth nose butters.

As for durability I have heard nothing but good things about volkl skis being bomber. As long as you arent out grinding concrete ledges to asphalt landings they should last you quite a while.

If your fucking the edges on On3ps, you cant really expect much.

Just get whatever you can get cheap, and be prepared to switch out skis.

infamous, im sure someone suggested the infamous already, but i am a true supporter of this ski, low swing weight, very poppy, and it still has a great flex for jibbing around the park, but stable enough to hit booters of any size go infamous, plus you cant beat 350

Good call but for op I may suggest punx instead. Being slightly stiffer may be good for his size and hopefully they should hold up ok. Or just go for more ar7s.

the company has actually been around for about a decade but this is new to the U.S. market, plus they are definitely great skis that are on the faster side of things but the edges are nothing special as far as thickness. Definitely sick rails skis, low swing weight and just great skis. If you are a huge rail guy i would count out APO until they fix that little problem with edges though. Besides that, I can vouch for Volkls to be durable fucking skis. AR7s not as durable as Volkls, LTE's might not be stiff enough for you, but somehow the edges last forever and the bases are immune to damage somehow, and ON3P have biased as fuck reviews here (not saying that they are bad) but try to find people who can tell you an actual review if you are interested in prester's because as you already said, not much info out about them yet.
