I normally delete threads about ns apps, but let uses this thread to inform the masses.
NS made an app once, it sucked. Granted, this was 4 years ago when people had iphone 3g, but still.
NS' mobile website is pretty solid IMO not sure how it "doesn't work" for you but there are definitely some tweaks that need to be assessed but otherwise its good. They don't have a "mobile" site, its all html5 (paul correct me if im wrong) and the website automatically adjusts between two different layouts based on your device.
What would you like to see in an app that the ns mobile site doesnt have? I use the ns mobile site daily and i dunno what else id want it to do...
The only thing I don't like about it is I wish that when you clicked on "Forums", a drop down menu popped up instead of having to go to a whole new page when you wanna switch forums. But really, it's not even that big of a deal, would just be a nice convenience to have.
I know the site scales to devices, but today I was reading a news article that was embedded from another site, that didn't scale, leaving me unable to read the right side of the article on a nexus 7.
I guess this is less a suggestion and more a bug I noticed today.
If I browse on my kindle, it's more than enough screen to see the whole site and I'd like to see upvotes/downvotes, as well as the full site functionality.
I remember the app and it definitely sucked. This mobile version on the iPhone far surpasses that. And I would imagine, this is easier to maintain and fix.
Up voting would be cool and message history. Even though a google search can bring ya to message history..
I really do believe ns has a super solid mobile site. One thing that bugs me about it though is when I click a thread, or forum listing and it goes to a new page I'll click a new thread quickly while the page is loading and it will shift down to a totally different thread. Could just be my device, but its a Lil jerky
