Shoulder injuries

i fucked up my rotator cuff 2 years ago, and its still fucked up

i dislocated it and broke the humoral head clear off. ouch.

bummmmmer it will never be the same again. you might have to wear a brace if your going to be wrecking big....this is what i have to do and i only sublocated (a semi-dislocation) mine

mine hurts from playign too much squash, I almost disloactaed, sounds liek it would hurt a lot.

Yeah, my shoulder was really bad, and got to the point where it would dislocate at will, even while I was sleeping, but I had surgery and its better now. The recovery and rehab is very tedieus but also very important. If you do get surgery don't skimp on the rehab, cause if you don't do it properly than the surgery is just a waste of time/money.

that sucks ... i know how u feel i dislocated my shoulder more than 100 times, as buddy said^ i could do it at will, i had surgery on it last year, the recovery is like 3 months. then i went back to skiing and did it again, and its fucked again, gonna have to get surgery again

Skiing I snapped my humerus, surgery = alot of metal in my arm.

Few months after that its summer, and I'm riding my mtn bike down this hill at night. I hit a telephone support wirse and went flying. I separated my shoulder and got a concussion.

Now my shoulder is 'loose.' I can move it around. It's real hot, wanna touch?

^ already tore my acl 6 months ago...
so i went to the doc and i seperated my ac, or something, and it went back together already, and apparently i have realllllly loose joints, so i too can take it out of its socket whenever i want, i just didnt know it was coming out, i just thought it hurt and looked funny whenever i hit it.
anyway, the doc said he cant do anythying to fix it until it seperates again, so i just get to wait until i reinjure it to get surgery...YAH! sux so bad, hurts so much, he had to dilocate it to make sure it was OK. it was the worst 4 seconds of my life...

shelli, I feel your pain. Im missing one of the ligaments in my shoulder, so it likes to dislocate an awful lot. One piece of advice, next time, put it back in yourself. Maybe this is just me, but it isnt really hard to put your shoudler back in, just need to get it in the right position. lock your elbow at 90, pull your arm towards your chest while pushing up on the elbow to but pressure on the joint. Your shoulder will feel like its swallowing your arm, kinda cool and the relief is absolutely instantanious. Last time I had to do this I was at the gym doing a military press (read, really stupid even when healthy) and it popped out, so i lowered that shit down and popped the fucker back in. But of course, my shoulders are fucked beyond belief
