So I have a question for you guys. It seems like Half pipe skiers stick to half pipe and then slope style skiers also do big air. Why don't these guys like Torin and Dumont try slope style? And vice versa for people like Henrik and Bobby. Are they just to different? Thanks!
Anyone who can ski both does. Dumont does, used to be at/near the top of both. Candide has dominated both. Tanner obviously. Kenworthy is skiing both really well right now.
Torin does a bit of slope doesn't he? He's competed in a few dew slopes I think at least.
I made a thread kinda like this. I think it would be sick if we took all the halfpipe guys and threw 'em into a slopestyle contest. Or if we took all the urban/jib oriented skiers and put them in a big air contest.
because each has specialized enough that it is hard to be one of the very, very best at both. In the past when skiing wasn't at this level it was more common to see skiers doing slope and pipe, but not anymore
