No doubt, thanks for being honest. Always appreciate it.
I would agree with you about all of it. This was my first time using the GH3 so I was really just looking to give it a whirl and make a little edit for fun. Usually I have more of a concept and plan going into things, but I really just wanted to stack some clips just really to see what the GH3 could do, thus all glide cam shots and no tripod/varying focal length. The shots weren't fantastic, but I felt obligated to put something out (edited the night that I filmed it) because I took up a lot of their time and wanted to show some GH3 footy.
Also it was very cold and I decided to wear mittens the whole time as I usually go with out a mitten on my left hand for max precision on the glide control.
I felt like the footage I had wasn't very creative and it was all the same so I didn't feel like I could really push the creative well-timed sort of edit-style like Play The Part or Be Alright. It was more run-and-gun/skateboard style so I felt like the quick cuts over a sort of elevator-style music might work. Just kinda shows that none of us were taking our selves too seriously filming/tricking wise.
Thanks for the critique Gavin. Always appreciate the honesty and specificity.
I will be skiing in Mammoth soon and will hopefully be working on some more edits that I will put more thought into (:
