well its whatever feels the most natural. just imagine flying into a rail, and which foot forward you'd want. its all about what feels natural for you.
when i first started i thought i was right foot forward, but then started going left foot forward and realized that is definitely my natural way

I spin on whatever way gets my right foot forward, because its natural for me. The direction depends how much i spin to get on. To just turn on its counter clockwise, to 270 on its clockwise.
