Just picked up some Nordica aces 2014 for $400 , I will be using them with my new Infamous skis and axial 120 Xl bindings. I was just wondering if these will be a good set up and worth while. I had a chance for the Full Tilts newer boots but they were clunky and stiff.
Thats a great boot and in my book underrated. all the boots in the ace line are great and the 2 being the perfect boot for park and all mountain. Its stiff enough but not too stiff you'll hate life.
You can not go wrong with a Nordica Product. I have the Dead Money boots, I'm pretty sure its what the Ace 2 was before Nordica rebranded their park line, it's a very comfortable boot and will definitely be worth it's while.
I was going to get a pair too but got the double sixes instead since they were a tad softer, but these boots are coming off of full tilts and there is no comparison. They are better boots in every way except weight which isnt really a huge deal at all
I've rode um about 20 times since this post and all I can say is they are the best. Perfect flex and it's so comfy I don't need a foot bed. Way more stability then full tilts imho. I don't think anyone can go wrong with these boots
definitely try it with a volcano cheap trim and fit with the small amount of moldability. if you think they are comfortable now, think what it could be with even a $50 off the shelf footbed. throw that stock fleece lined cardboard away!
