How was your season? Break any personal records? Have any super-awesome trips? Is your season not even over yet? Tell us about your 2013 fishing experience.
This was my first season in about 5 or 6 years. I did a lot of fishing when I was a kid with my dad, and I decided on a whim that I wanted to get back into it.
I had a great year. Broke my record for largemouth bass that was standing since '04. Caught way more fish than I ever did, because I'm not a little kid anymore and I actually know what I'm doing (sort of, it's a work in progress lol).
Purchased my first watercraft, a nice kayak that will hopefully last me many years to come. Not being confined to shore fishing is awesome, my catches really increased when I first started using the kayak. I learned a lot from this cult, and appreciated the fishing stoke that went on in here on a daily basis.
Wish I had more to say, but it was a pretty short season for me (pretty much only summer and a little fall), so just a simple summary will do.
In conclusion, awesome year. Looking forward to next season already!
It was dope! Caught the most bass I ever have in a summer. Multiple days where I caught over 20 fish myself and 30-40+ including my buddy in the boat. The 5lbers eluded me this year though, lost my only one right at the boat.
Also caught my first musky, even though it wasn't a giant it was an unreal experience and worked so hard putting in over 80 hours on the water just for that one fish.
So unbelievably stoked for next season. Will be able to put way more time/money into fishing since I wont have to worry about paying for school anymore. Gonna make some upgrades to my boat, gonna be so dope. Also Gonna study hard and gain a ton more knowledge so I can catch even more fish next year!
