Please tell me your favorite small area/resort
name the area, which sections you love, trees, drops, secret spots, anything to help me maximize my riding fun factor!
not too worried about park

I would say Brighton and Powder Mountain are gonna be your best bet for smaller resorts. Brighton has been getting a little crowded. As far as spots, you can find your own I ain't no snitch. They are both small enough you will easily find the goods though.

Powder Mountain in Eden is my favorite 'small' resort. It's actually a really big ass mountain with tons of cat accessed terrain. Modest prices on food, lift tickets (about $60 a day). You can either stay at a cheap hotel in Ogden (about 30 minutes away) or rent a small condo down the road in Eden (10 minutes).
Good luck dude, you can't really go wrong anywhere.
