Apple Sauce Recipe!

Ingredients
2 large navel oranges, zested and juiced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
3 pounds Granny Smith apples (about 6 to 8 apples)
3 pounds sweet red apples, such as Macoun, McIntosh, or Winesap (about 6 to 8 apples)
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Place the zest and juice of the oranges and lemon in a large bowl. Peel, quarter, and core the apples (reserving the peel of 2 of the red apples) and toss them in the juice. Pour the apples, reserved apple peel, and juice into a nonreactive Dutch oven or enameled iron pot. Add the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and allspice and cover the pot. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until all the apples are soft. Remove and discard the red apple peel. Mix with a whisk until smooth, and serve warm or at room temperature

Found this sick recipe and its by my girl Ina so it has to be good! have fun and don't the oven on without supervision

is there already a NS recipe thread? i got real easy and good one. mac and philly cheese steak sandwiches. basically just make whatever type of mac and cheese you desire, fry up some philly cheese steak mixins and combine the two. the flavors are unreal.

nope heres mine

A shit load of apples
Some cinnamon
Some nutmeg
Some allspice

1. Peel core slice as many apples as you possibly can. I can usually go pretty steady through two episodes of Futurama on Netflix

2. Jam those fuckers into your dutch oven. Then, take your metal strainer, and jam that motherfucker over your apples. Put all your peels into the metal strainer

3. Cook that shit. For like 30 min, or whatever.

4. Take it out. Apples are done when you can squish em with a spoon. Put your cooked peels in a blender. Add a touch of water, some of your spices, and blend that shit. Itll turn into a thin paste or something.

5. Add your peel-jizz to your apples, stir and smash till desired consistency. Add honey if your soft.
