My FKS brakes just broke. Am I just unlucky, Im tired of spending so much money on bindings. And the brakes didn't bend the black part popped off then the top of the brakes became lose so my brakes are just super lose and don't go up when I click in. Does any one know how to fix this I can provide pics if needed.
I have the same problem.. I've only skiied Marker bindings tho but I break them on every binding I've owned.. lol. Don't really have any advice besides just replacing the breaks.. If you're going in the park, shit's gonna break and that's about all really hah.
Your problem lies with your choice binding company. I was a ski repair tech for 5 years and 9/10 times a broken break was off of marker bindings, no clue why, but they always were
I figured it probably was. I've also had a pair of Salomon bindings and the same thing happened.. What bindings do you recommend? I have Marker Jester's right now but yeah the breaks on one of them are currently broken...
What would you suggest then? Just going with the FKS? I had to replace my brake today on my Marker JEsters and it was $35.... So idk if it would be worth buying FKS if they can break too and are more expensive to fix... What if I just went with another Rossi binding?
I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to bindings so any help would be appreciated lol.
sounds like the brakes came lose, take them to a shop and they can put them back together. There is a BIG spring in the brake assembly on FKSs, if that comes out they brakes wont go up. Got a pic?
Sounds like you broke the half moon piece, it's plastic on some models I believe (someone confirm? Always wondered why some were metal). Without that, not only do your brakes hang, but your boot sits in the binding improperly, they may not release like they are supposed to now.
I'll bet it's to do with the people that ride marker and the fact that they're quite popular being the main reason, not that I'm promoting marker after the stupidity of what happened to me when I had some
