Winter boots

I'm sure theres a thread on this somewhere but all I can find is threads on actual ski boots.
I'm looking for a pair of winter boots, all I have is a pair of vans that are not practical in the snow at all.  I'm looking for something warm and water proof under $100.  Anyone know of anything good?

I've heard $101 non-waterproof Vans do the trick.

look at Pajar boots. bout a $100 waterproof and most are rated to -20 but without getting sweaty at 35. I have a pair and love them, wool socks are good to wick away any sweat as well.

I bought a pair 2 years ago; lace ups with 800g of Thinsulate, steel toe and waterproof. Paid $110 I believe at the Army Surplus store. I wear them from September to May everyday for 14+ hours at work and they're killer. I've burned through both the toes down to the steel, lots of cuts of the outsides and tongues and they're still waterproof. Downside is they must way 25 pounds a piece, make my calves look fucking killer though.

sports authority typically has discounted sorels around this time. best damn boots in my opinion.

Boots from LL Bean are always good and last for years, but they don't fit well if you order true to your size (order a size) down, cost a fuck ton and make you look like a frat douche

Also going to recommend Bean boots. A little pricey, but worth every penny. I'm going to grab a pair of hikers from forsake next week so we'll see how they do. Those will mostly be for walking through the snowy parking lot at the mountain/standing behind the rental counter/working the ski check. The bean boots can't be beat for winter camping. Except by Sorels if it's that cold or the snow is above my 10" beans

They're also super lightweight compared to most making them very comfortable. If you want the best get redwings they are the best quality hands down if you go to a retailer they will custom fit them like a bootfitter would they also come with lifetime warranty and free lifetime maintenance. You can literally walk in with 30 yr old pair and they will fix em up re lace them and oil them on the spot for free my grandpa has a 60 + yr old pair that he still wears. Be prepared to spend 200-300 dollars depending
