So I'm only 5'7, but I am really interested in the ski since they are so cheap and fit what type of ski I am currently looking for. Would the 175 length be way too much for me?

Look for something shorter around a 169 if you are done growing, if you are still growing get the 175..

I ski 169's right now, but they're much heavier skis, so the weight wouldn't be an issue, but would the extra length have an affect on anything?

You would be more stable at higher speeds, easier to butter, landing would be less of a hassle..Rails would be a little more tricky (no pun intended) switch ups could result in tips catching..
