bastards that treat new skiers like shit because they don´t rip, as a skiers they always forget they where begginers once......... and be haters all the time , instead of looking the sport as a fun thing , were progress comes with that!

ticket checkers that scan your ticket/pass every time you get on the lift. it's impossible to ski a few runs for free anymore without hiking for turns.

more ski areas should reward ski bums that spend no money at their mountain with more free stuff that they deserve because of how core and true to the sport they are.

I feel like Vail resorts actually rewards more avid skiers by charging ridiculous prices for single day passes in order to keep the price of a pass that lets you go to an unbelievable number of mountains down.... just saying the epic/epic local pass is pretty sweet.

Park passes are what you want, keeps everyone who shouldn't be there out, and gives the park crew a bit more skrilla to make new stuff!

just curious about your reasoning because I feel like gopro changed the whole sports industry by getting a camera thats affordable, it does high resolution hd, its small enough to fit in your pocket, and a case that can withstand almost any type of weather. thinking back before there was gopro (hard for some of you) there weren't any good cameras like this that were easily available and practical. Now more kids are getting there skills exposed because they can easily film and showcase what they got

Lawyers, straight up. The amount of financial risk every ski area is at right now if some lifty doses off and someone gets maimed is just insane. I guaranty we'll see some smaller ski areas close down from lawsuits in the next decade.

I totally agree with you, but only on those days. I compete so I had to pay about $250 for a USSA plus FIS. That shit is awful. Not everyone who's good enough to compete at a high level can afford these prices, taking a large chunk of talent out of the game.

Well yes and no. Does Stowe need to charge $1600 MORE than the resort on the other side of the same mountain?!? Fuck no. They're simply fleecing the 2nd homeowners, who love being at the most posh place they can be and will pay anything to keep up with the Joneses. There's a balance, but a lot of places aren't TRYING to make skiing affordable, they're trying to make money. If high prices piss you off, go to ski areas instead- you'll be much happier.

The Chippewa valey/eau claire area. We have a park going into eau claire with a rope tow this yearish, we have menomonie snow park, one in Chippewa and one in some tiny ass town up north a bit. They are all maintained by the people who ski it and EVERY so often a crew who built it. Its nice on the days that I can't make it up to the mountain,
