Title says it all. I can't believe I'm turning to NS for this but I'm stuck.

She says she has already bought my gift and spent more than our set range. (wtf was the point of setting the range then, I originally said $5)

adopt an animal from your local zoo. pick whatever her favorite animal is-- often times these programs will come with her name being put on the exhibit for a period of time, or a back-stage private tour of the exhibit.

or just a nordstrom gift card.

well what does she like? most girls like tiffany's silver-- you could get something small that is new, or something unique/larger that is vintage on ebay?

When my husband let me pick my own valentines day gift, I told him to bid on this tiffany cuff bracelet. It is one of the nicest pieces of jewelry that I own. The retail is $500 and he paid $80. Since he saved so much money he was also able to get the matching necklace on ebay for $120--I don't know what the retail was on that but it was much more.

There's always the ole coupon book idea. It's pretty darn cheap but women usually love it because it's thoughtful/you made it/cute factor.

Rxp: three coupons for car shovel out, a dinner coupon good for $50, a night of DD'ing, or just something she doesn't like doing and can redeem via you. I usually throw in maybe one BJ coupon for myself. Tariffs and the such, y'know.

oh also, I think I posted this in another thread but when my cats were sick my husband bought me these necklaces with the initials of their names, which was really thoughtful. You could think of something-- a pet, or maybe the initials of you two-- that means something to her and get a necklace like this.


etsy.com literally has millions of custom items you could get her-- check it out.

For christmas I gave my ex a piece of paper with a drunkenly drawn heart on it. The heart resembled a penis, and there was a nicely drawn penis on the back if I remember correctly.

That relationship did not go places.

Were you also drunk when you gave it to her? Or did you recover it out of your jacket pocket a few days later and think "damn, what an excellent gift"

I've gotten my girlfriend a couple nice fleeces and pieces of outerwear which she wears a lot. I like giving her things she will actually use as opposed to giving something just for the sake of having a gift, so sometimes I talk to her beforehand about what she wants or I run by general ideas but still leave the exact item up to surprise

definitely agree--don't get her jewelry if she doesn't wear jewelry or doesn't like to.

But, it is nice to get a gift every once in a while that is something you really like but would never buy yourself. I think that's why pricey perfumes, nice jewelry and such are popular gifts. Luxury that you couldn't justify spending on yourself.

Yeah for sure, but even with jewelry you can pick things that will get more use than others. For example, my girlfriend bought herself a simple necklace a few years ago that she wears all the time and loves, and I know that if i bought her an expensive necklace she would wear it but still probably be happier with her other one. On the other hand, she didn't have a nice pair of earrings that she liked and she wouldn't have bought herself some, so I got her nice pearls that she never takes out
