SFB or Jeffery

I'm looking at the either of these two skis to add a fatter ski to my one ski quiver of currently the 10/11 AoS.

I ski PA
5'10"
160lbs
Currently ski 170cm nordica AoS (they feel alittle short)
I don't like rails (occasional boxes and maybe a rail or 2)
I like going fast down groomers
Skiing every bit of fresh snow PA gets
Woods, crud, ice...pretty much everything.
The biggest thing is I like to jump anything. I ski about 70% park but still love to ski everywhere else too.

What are your recommendations? I'm leaning towards the SFB due to price but any input would help. Looking for an all mountain ski that is alittle softer but still stable on groomers and is very good in the air. I am also planning a trip to Big Sky but I know either of these will do well in the powder. Thanks

Flex is very different between these two skis. Jeffrey will be stiffer, some of that stiffness will translate to better stability when you're bombing down stuff.

SFB's are super fun to rip hardpack with - they have a great sidecut/flex/rocker combo. They're pretty soft though, so there's a lot less room for error when landing compared to a stiffer ski. Definitely not a charging ski, but they rip tight trees and handle ice pretty well.

I'm from PA and use the SFB as my one ski quiver. Whether its bombing groomers, or hiking the park they work great everywhere. They are a relatively soft ski, but still hold a great edge and are still able to ride them harder like a stiff ski. You honestly can't go wrong with either of them, but as it seems we have similar ski styles, you'll for sure love the SFB's!

Another question is what size should I get? Would a 172 SFB be to small?

Because my wife handles a larger ski and she's 5'7", 135 lbs. The SFB has a pretty wimpy flex too, and with rocker a 174's effective edge is even shorter for you.

Honestly, if you ride hard in any way shape or form you'd fold that ski in half. I'd recommend the Jeffery of the two unless you don't ride fast.

I would love to get the Jeffery's if I could find some(2013 model). Id also love to get the 184 2013 bacons but I can't find those either. Does anybody know the swing weight of either of these?

I would not get the 172s. It will just be a waste of money, and you will be disappointed with the size. If you have to just wait to find the right size, and/or spend more money.
