So on this a.m radio station these fellas were talking about what they did to solve the controversial problem that is hockey fights. Now this is in a mens C league (aka beer league, old timers) in Ontario and they had the solution of scheduling the hockey fights so that people who didn't want to see them could miss them and people that did could. They actually had people come and watch just to see fights which isn't suprising. Anyway, so the home team would get to choose who fought who. But they could only fight players from the other team who wanted to fight and only in the scheduled time or they would be kicked out if they fought outside of the given time frame. I thought this was comical so I am passing it on.
My opinion: If this were implemented into the nhl it would be a joke. It would be like mixing hockey with boxing as a half-time show. Fights are essential in the game of hockey. Period.
