I Just used a new pair of rossi's 'free 140's' for the first time and the heel is already loosening up(center post)!!! I've broken two heels on apparently bomber bindings (Atomic C:14's and Salomon's p14's) since january, all doing switch landings. My f**king rossi's were supposed to be da bomb but now I dont think they will make it through december.
Is this normal? Anyone else found bindings that can take switch landidngs?
Im kind of talll so I think maybe im just too heavy (200lbs) to be doing switch landindgs on the backcountry, but what the hell, should I stop doing them cause there's no binding out there that can keep up?!. I got no problem with early release...until the whole heel explodes on a landing.
F**k that, Im thinking of just screwing my boots straight into my skis, who the heel needs knees anyway if you cant rip out there.
Any suggestion on bindings that are not disposable, or at leat last a whole season of doing switch bindings? I dont care about release at all, I just want my bindings to last.
