So after a few years of enjoying my Afterbangs i decided the faded graphics needed to be redone. I sanded off the painted graphics and wood burned this design in. Its completely freehanded and aside from the amount of time it took i am stoked on how it turned out. hope you enjoy!
OP that is some awesome work, but the more I look at them Ithe better I think they'd look with a satin clear on them. The shininess makes them look... I dunno. Can't put my finger on it, but I think satin might look better next time, the gloss won't interfere with seeing it as much. :)
I agree on the shiny clear coat, thats all i had at the time but if i could do it again id do a matte clear coat.
I also just want to thank line skis for all the hard work theyve done! ive tried my best to destroy these skis over the years and its harder than i thought so mad props to you guys and also on all the graphics guys, im stoked on what i pulled off but i could never do what these guys do.
also i ski at perfect north so to the people who mentioned that; thats why so say hi next time!
This is just sick! All of the designs are awsome!!
But to OP the design u got there was just beautifull! But yeah you should try to go for a matte finish next time it eill make the design even better i think!
sorry to be that guy and resurrect his own old thread but I was lucky enough to snag an amazing deal from John Spriggs himself at the beginning of this season and ended up with some dirt cheap old fischers that were all black and decided I'd copy my old design only this time with paint marker! So sorry to be that guy but I figured this was the best place to post the pictures. So thank you John Spriggs for the awesome deal and hopefully someone enjoys these!
and sorry about the sideways photos, i tried my best but I guess computers just aren't my thing

I honestly think that you should get into the ski industry to draw graphics. This is fucking sick
Got an old pair of skis I'm thinking about trying this with, but don't have the straight wood topsheet so I don't think sanding it off would work. Any help?

I would avoid sanding them down because I don't think it would work, but if you have another pair you can ride just do it
