Actually a public display is the best way on getting a companies attention. Could the athletes been a bit more 'professional' in their criticism? Sure. But generally professional skiers, actually professional athletes in general, aren't the brightest bunch...
But on another note, Keystone really fucked this one up. Just horrible time management by them, this is equivalent to a theme park closing their most popular roller coaster for scheduled maintenance (aka nothing wrong with it) during a very popular time. They should of planned accordingly and realized this is a horrible time to reshape their jumps.
Also to the kids saying "its a public park you should be grateful..." wtf public park? LOL? Last time I checked it costs close to a hundred fucking dollars for a lift ticket at keystone, there is nothing public about that. They are known to have the best parks in the world, that is why people pay that much money to ski there, by not having jumps they are fucking up their job.
