I went through this over the summer/fall. Things could go a few ways. If you guys still feel a real connection and start talking about getting back together make sure you do it properly. Don't forget why you broke up, keep communication lines open and WORK on making your relationship better. If you two truly respect each other but try to just get back together because it is familiar IT WON'T LAST.

If things go the other way, one of you is going to get really hurt. One of you will move on emotionally and find someone else. Whoever gets left behind will feel used, hurt, and experience a huge loss of confidence. Look inside yourself and ask if you are still attached to this person at an emotional level. If the answer is yes, but you BOTH aren't willing to try and fix the relationship you have to stop NOW! You're just going to get hurt if you keep going. Vice versa - do you want to be the one responsible for her feeling the same way if/when you move on?

Be a man, make a decision and stick to it. Otherwise you're just being a selfish asshole.

As long as you aren't still emotionally attached do it. I tried having casual sex with my ex after we broke up because she cheated but we both were still in love with each other so it just ended up making things worse. I miss her but I had to make a clean break in order to move on. It's too bad because she was great in bed. Here is a pic

I had the same situation this summer with my ex. We broke up because of college and then started hanging out and hooking up once she got back. Then I realized she was way more emotionally involved than I was so I cut it off. I still cared about her but not enough to have a relationship and I felt really guilty about the whole situation.

Bottom line, who cares.

If you broke up because you just didn't feel like having a relationship, just felt like chillin, playing the field, then ok. If you can stay friends that's cool, but if you stay friends AND get the pussy... its a solid deal.

But If you have spikes of emotion for eachother and go back to screw on this alone, it's probably not good.

All depends on what YOU want. If it's wrong to you don't do it. But who cares what others think about it.
