How to use a gummy stone?

Got the new Al Dentes planning on riding them in the park. Put one day on them and hit some rails but was scared to catch. Im gonna buy a gummy stone to help detune them how do most NSer use it I've seen in on youtube but its all on race skis and shit

also what color i was looking up that grey is the best for detune

You use it just like you think. Rub where you want to take away sharpness. I always do tip and tail after a tune, I dont do underfoot; but on some new sharp sticks go for it.

why in the hell would you detune in the tip and tail but not underfoot? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

People like to buffer out the rockered/tapered sections on pow skis to prevent 'hooking' on super short turn radius skis.

IMO dont worry about detune unless your hitting rails, but then why are you sharpening in the first place?

aight sounds good yeh i just gotta detune um under foot cuz I'm gonna ride these in the park most of the time
