I bought a pair of super nice leather Dakine gloves on sale last season because I was tired of the rope eating through pipe gloves. The label says do not wash, and I know washing them can't be good for the leather. Are there any tricks you can use to get the smell out of them?
put them in a ziplock bag then in the freezer overnight then through the wash. the cold from the freezer kills the bacteria growing in the glove that causes the smell then the wash freshens those bad boys up.
The best option is call sink the stink. Its got little creatures in it that eat the stinky bacteria in your gear. Its used on rental river gear mostly, like wetsuits, splash tops, booties. Its the bomb!
