Both are good helmets. Some aren't too sure about the softshell found on the combyn..
I trust in Giro that they wouldn't make a helmet that isn't safe, so I bought one the other day. It's a really comfortable helmet.

POC makes nice stuff, but they are definitely overpriced.

Rode the Poc the last two years and just got Combyn last month. Poc fits a little wider at the top of the head and feels a little longer in the back. I actually was able to get into a medium Giro with beanie underneath while the Poc was a XL I believe. Took a couple of low impact hits in the Combyn and so far so good. Honestly believe I have a better fit with the Combyn and it's ability to take some hits and still be functional is a definite selling point. I'm sure most of us are riding hard shell helmets that should have been retired a long time ago.

Define Go with the poc. They're very safe. I have had mine for 3 seasons and will never switch to another brand

not really... they use a far superior construction/materials than most helmets. Whether or not it's completely necessary is another thing entirely.

but for the OP, go with the poc, it's more streamline looking and only gapers wear giro helmets haha

Whichever fits better. POC fits my head best so I went with that.

The technology behind the Combyn helmet is sweet.

Unlike most helmets, Giro created a soft shell helmet designed to be able to take more than 1 high impact collision. The Combyn is also very slim in the sense that when you put it on it doesn't look so big on your head. I give the Combyn a 9/10

This above all and also keep in mind that you have to wear your goggles under your helmet with the poc.
