straight up. not to long ago, pollard, marc andre belliveau jamie pierre and this australian ripper called ben murphy hit it up, pollard was hitting up 180's on chads. ben did a cork 5...however, none were cleanly skied away, they all ended in crashes but the effort was there. so it wont be long till someone sticks it. ben murphy got a cover of the cork 5 on an australian ski mag called 'powder hand' or something like that.

hey turbo_penguin, what exactly are you implying that an unknown has less to lose? i think what you mean is that theres more to gain, not less to lose.
if a pro hits it and falls, he falls, so what. its the same with an unknown, if they fall, they fall, who really cares.
so lets say a pro lands it switch, he gets alot of props, maybe a few pictures, thats it. but if an unknown were to do it, that would open up all sorts of opportunities for the person, maybe sponserships, exposure in magazines, maybe a clip or two in a movie.

no i would say an unknown has less to lose. most have dedicated their life to skiing so much that that is what they are depending on to survive. and all the contracts they have to hold up too. if they eat mega shiit on it and ruin their career they are pretty screwed. they lose their contracts and for the handful of them that screwed over education to be a pro skier they lose (at least for the time beig) their income. an unknown, does not necesarrily have the contracts and the huge sacrifice of life ersting on being able to ski.

Who the fuck cares about contracts and what not. The biggest thing any skier can loose is his ability to ski. So even if an unknown fucks himself he still lost a shitload. I hate all you guys place so much importance on getting sponsored and getting in magazines....you know there is alot more to skiing than that.
