Canada Goose jackets

Why in the fuck are Canada goose jackets becoming a trendy thing to wear among the basic white teenage girl? They're a coat made for arctic climates and outdoor weather extremes. Not to mention the prices range from $500-10,000 and it seems like every second girl is wearing them out to starbucks in Nova Scotias 14dc weather. Does anyone else find this trend absolutely retatded?

i think the point is that people are spending £800 on them purely for the cred currently associated with the brand, as opposed to the fact that they need a highly functional goose down coat...
