Looks like a plain black beanie to me. I guess in the skier world that makes you "look like a tool."

Maybe a fake dreadlocks model would appeal to the demographic?

emailed the guy a question and he got back to me within 2 minutes. you cant control the volume or skipping tracks with the hat, only play/pause. But that good enough for me.

I got a blue one and a black one for me and my brother. Im curious about the quality of the hat and speakers. But I supose if they are horrible you could just sew the receiver and better speakers into a warmer hat

I think this looks absolutely sick for listening to tunes while skiing, but my only concern is how much of the sound can be heard outside of the hat.. I don't want to be listening to music and have everyone around me forced to listen as well.

Sick idea but I question how good the audio quality could be at just $40. Most bluetooth headphones that I've seen are over $100 and the quality on those is no better than a $10 pair of skullcandys

I have no experience with this product, so don't quote me on this, but I would like to assume that since these are from a small company and the actual speaker has no aesthetic value, this won't be charging extra just for the brand or anything making it cheaper for similar quality.

That may have been hard to follow.. just a thought

Hey guys,
Kruppa mentioned to me that you have some questions about the beanie, so I thought I would log on and answer. People around you will not be able hear your music. The beanie works just like a regular set of headphones. In terms of quality, the sound is way better than a pair of $20 skull candy ear buds, and the Bluetooth tech is more stable than most headphone brands. Most brands just overcharge because they can, not because of the quality of the product. Hope this helps.

Does that mean no beanie if we already preordered one? They should be getting them in their warehouse very soon. They have to do something with the product right? I dont mind if its a different brand on the bluetooth device or headphone.

Hey guys, this is my friend so I wanted to provide an update on this. He sent out an email to some people explaining what happened and it also addresses the link that was just posted in this thread. Long story short you can still buy this beanie (much better specs than the one made in China and doesn't have a 1,000 order minimum) for the same $39.99 with free shipping price. I assure you he did not simply buy in bulk and then mark them up, it's a higher quality product.

I am sure by now you have all received an email from Kickstarter about the suspension of the 1 Voice Campaign. In the last few days, 3 individuals within the Kickstarter community voiced concerns over the fact that the 1 Voice Beanie was manufactured in China, and that a similar product (although not one of the same specs and quality as the ones we have produced) can be purchased from Chinese factories, albeit at a minimum order quantity of 1000 units. These individuals’ complaints were based on the premise that lower quality versions of our product can be found in China, rendering the 1 Voice Beanie unoriginal. The 1 Voice goal is to create a high quality product that would meet the needs of the US and/or global marketplace. I believe in this product and turned to Kickstarter to help spread the word. Last night, these 3 individuals started posting negative comments about Kickstarter and their staff all over the Kickstarter website. I believe that Kickstarter took action against 1 Voice to save face. Their allegations are unfounded but Kickstarter acted before having any proof to back up their claims. I am following up with them to get them to retract any statements they made: as you know, integrity is the critical value for me and I expect this will be rectified but it will take time.
