I went to a boot-fitter today and he recommended these boots to me. I'm about 6', ski most of my season in whatever my Epic Pass lets me, but I also live in the Midwest so I ski a lot of ice and shit. I really wanted a responsive all mountain boot with more of a focus towards moguls, big mountain, etc but one that can still hold its own in the park. Would you guys recommend this boot? Do you know anything about it?
You should buy whatever fits your foot, if that boot fits you best buy it or the axion 14 which Gould be a stiffer version of the same shell fit. Thinking one specific boot would be better than another because it was marketed as a big mountain boot leads me to believe that you don't need anything that would be considered a big mountain boot anyways.
I just got this years version of the boot. Holy crap I love them. They fit my foot like a glove to start out, then I heat molded my liners. I don't have custom foot beds *yet* but they already perform great so far. I'm 5'6" and 225 (Sprinter build (in cycling)) and they hold up great. I love the amount of flex they have which is adjustable between 110 and 100. I've only got 2 full days in em so far but so far so good.
