Banned Super Bowl XLVIII Ad.

Have any of you guys heard about this? I'm just curious what the general consensus on NS is. Apparently, the NFL has banned this Super Bowl ad from this seasons game. Personally, I don't see whats wrong with the video. There's some guys response attached to the end of the video.

Well the way you are presenting these numbers is assuming that all 84 000 rapes and 760 000 assaults happen during home invasions which is not at all true. Especially seeing as arrests in Bar fights are generally treated as "assaults" so that is completely irrelevant. You made a stupid claim saying that robberies end in murder and you cant back it up.

Also all this talk about "my wife" being raped. Im no home invader but Im almost positive that they try to spend the least amount of time/try really hard not to be noticed in houses where there are people. Why would you want to draw attention to yourself?

Im not too concerned with paying for the medical bills/ramifications seeing as thats never something I have to worry about.

Wow he can rape your wife, and hold you at gun point, what a great multitasker. everyone knows the prime rape victim is a girl whose husband is home. Stop throwing out bull shit "scary scenarios" that never happen, to justify your use for guns. There are good reason for having and using them, to stop your wife from getting raped in your own home while you are there is a dumb one.

Haha I'm not a scary guy at all, I just believe we have the rights to out guns and that shouldn't be taken from me. I don't give a shit how anyone else would defend their home or family. And to tell you the truth idk how I would either because I've never been put in that situation, but I sure as hell would rather have one if I needed it than not have one. And to all you other guys, I know my situations aren't common but stuff like that does happen in our world regardless if you choose to think it doesn't. The only argument I agree 100% with is that guns are a right and I think it should stay that way.

I feel like you have the ultimate victims mentality. Yeah, so there might only be a 1% chance that you are ever in a home invasion/robbery type situation where you have to defend your wife and kids; but that 1% is nothing to take lightly. You hate guns, its obvious; nothing wrong with that, but why must you mock those who would rather air on the side of caution and own a firearm?

They are a premium AR-15 rifle producer that makes some of the highest quality AR's out there that sell for $1600+ a pop. They also make accessories to include the rail system for the SOCOM M4A1s (.mil contract =$$$$). They likely have contracts with several LEAs around the world.

I think the point is that it is a 'standard' American family, whatever the fuck that is:

Are the wait times still ridiculous? I was talking to someone who said it might take 15 months or so to get the form back from the BATF which seems fucking stupid.

Gun make our society far safer.  AS long as you avoid a mall shooting or school shooting you are good.  Remember gangs of 15 year olds jumping you with knives and bats and other weapons of the like happens FAR LESS HERE than it does in Europe where your average joe likely doesn't have a gun.


I have never owned or shot a gun I am an educated person from Massachussetts if I grew up in a rural place I'm sure I'd have grown up with them but I grew up in a rich suburb of Boston and have always lived in cities.


I just wish pro gun people were a little more proactive in keeping guns out of certain peoples hands.  Any kids who have histories of being weird speds as children shouldn't be allowed to buy guns as adults.  Don't give a fuck if thats unfair to them.  Its just like how every muslim person should be searched thoroughly in an airport but only search 1/10 white people.  Don't give a fuck if its fair or not thats what works.
