Banned Super Bowl XLVIII Ad.

Have any of you guys heard about this? I'm just curious what the general consensus on NS is. Apparently, the NFL has banned this Super Bowl ad from this seasons game. Personally, I don't see whats wrong with the video. There's some guys response attached to the end of the video.

Create a trust. Still have to buy the stamp, fill out the form, and wait for BATF to approve, but it avoids the LEO sig and anyone in the trust can be in possession of the item. Just make sure the lawyer you hire to draft the document knows what he/she is doing.

Ive been in a car accident and a seatbelt probably helped me out a fuck tonne.

Thats a horrible example, car accidents happen exponentially more often than shootings of random people while going about your boring everyday tedious fucking life. If you are seriously anywhere in public that you actually feel unsafe enough to have a fucking killing machine strapped to your belt, you are either in the wrong place or are seriously fucking delusional.

That's completely your opinion, but the majority of people in the United States think like I do not like you on this situation. You just sound ignorant saying guns are useless. And all I'm saying is the risk of that something like that happening is real and if you don't think so then you have your head shoved too far up your ass. The government shouldn't be able to force me to wear my seatbelt and they sure as shit shouldn't be able to take my guns away!

Gun related deaths will exceed car accidents by 2015 and many states have already seen this happen. Given some of the gun related deaths are suicide, that's why I think to buy a gun you should pass a psychological test or similar. But for you to say the risk isn't there is incompetent. It's much more prudent than you obviously care to look into. Just look at road rage deaths how they have increased because you piss off a crazy mother fucker and he pulls a gun on you for cutting him off in traffic. There are PLENTY of everyday possible situations, just like you probably think you will never die in a car crash it is just as likely for you to run into one of these situations. And I'm not saying that everyone needs to walk around with a glock strapped to their hip, but everyone should have some weapon at their home to protect their family at the least.

A bigger heavier stronger car does not make it safer. Look at the safest cars in the world they are mostly smaller compact cars or wagons. And you act like people don't get murdered with guns in civilized countries? Like uhh idk the USA?

yeah the USA doesn't make my list of civilized countries because half the people there are so fucking scared of being shot by random strangers that they feel the need to buy guns for going grocery shopping.
and that was my fuckin point you illiterate moron, when you want to protect yourself from other cars you DON'T buy a bigger fucking car, but for some reason half the people in this thread think that starting gunfights prevents shootings.

I love guns, i own several and plan on purchasing an AR 15 soon, but i still think the idea that you need it to defend your home is bullshit. The chances of that situation arising are so low, and an untrained person starts firing shots in the living room of their residential neighborhood is just dangerous. i want them because they're fun and interesting and cool as fuck, as well as being a constitutional right, not because i live in fear of being robbed at gunpoint by 7 robbers

In that case he has every right too.

Since when is an AR15 "high powered." If fires a glorified .22. We're not talking about a .50 here, it's just .223/5.56. Nothing high powered about it. Now to the assault weapon term. All that means is it has some cosmetic features that somehow kill people deader than other weapons. A mini-14 is basically the same exact thing as an AR15. A semi automatic rifle that fires .223/5.56. The only difference is it doesn't have an evil pistol grip/collapsible stock/threaded barrel but when it comes down to function they're basically the same.

Top one is perfectly legal for me to own back home in NY but the bottom one is a scary baby killer.

Getting off topic also to point out how stupid the term assault weapon is, in NY state this Ruger 10/22 is considered an assault weapon and illegal to own because it has a pistol grip.

I never said more people died in Car accidents, just that they happen more often. For me dying in car crash is a real possibility, I know people who have died in car accidents and it happens often. I dont know a single person who has ever been in any gun situation, owns a gun for other purposes than hunting, or even has the slightest concern of being shot on a random task.

If you want to protect your home get a can of bear spray and a baseball bat.

See the problem here, I think people should prove they are responsible enough to use guns, before they are given out. If you're a dumb fuck like lesh and shoot it out of a car window at street sign while going 60, then you should be put in front of a committee, and have it taken away. It should also be registered to you, and if you get you're fire arm stolen and it's used in a crime you should also be held accountable. That is unless you can prove someone tied a rope around your gun safe and towed it out of your house. You want people to believe most registered firearm owners are responsible, guess what? For that to happen most registered firearm owners are going to have to be responsible.

Hahahahaha what, Is that really your argument? I can bet you that over 15% if not more of NS has been in some kind of car crash (it happens to 1 in 8 people) I have been in 2 both times i wasn't driving and in the back seat. Seat belts save lives, guns kill a lot more than they save. There are much better arguments that comparing guns to seat belts.

Any discussion of gun control/gun rights/etc. notwithstanding, the reason you (and I'm addressing you specifically because it's you who made the contradictory point) feel the need to carry a weapon at all times is because you are afraid.

I went to a private catholic school grew up in very nice area and I know people who were killed with a gun along with many people who were killed on car wrecks. My friend just got robbed at GUN POINT two weeks ago at his own house by 3 guys after a party they through, stole his laptop, tv, money from wallet, cellphone, and some alcohol. It is still an investigation and I was at the party and those 3 guys probably were too so you can't sit here and tell me the threat isn't real. And when you try to tell me you could defend off 3 guys with guns with a baseball bat or pepper spray then you need a fucking wake up call man.

Yeah you kind of did (or some one in here did maybe it wasn't you) and it shows the one flaw with some gun owners. I think that in many cases guns can make you safer, and they should be used. But you stated that if 7 people break into your home you would open fire and taken them all out. you really think you would get all seven right in the 10 ring have them all drop and not get shoot or attack back? (inb4 that stupid post of well I just use a shot gun nice spread problem solved) life is not a movie. Walk around a bad part of a city at night get into some trouble and try to use your gun to defend yourself. You will most likely get shot after you try shooting to defend yourself, statistically if you're walking around with a gun you are 3 times more likely to get shot. Realize its not a 100% safe effective weapon there are risks associated with using guns.

No it's cool bro, but that is so far from the truth. I have my permit for a concealed weapon, I follow all laws and I don't always carry it on me. I promise you I have no fear for my life going out in public and my weapons are for two reasons. 1.) hunting or 2.) personal safety if ever needed. Idk about you but I would rather be safe than a sorry. But by saying someone is living in fear for carrying a weapon is ignorant.

You need to shut your fucking mouth, I never said that or that I would now 7 people for breaking my house down. But if they had guns I and I felt my life was in danger I would kill as many of them as I could. If I die then I die, chances are good that you will just let them rob you to pieces and then they will go ahead and kill you anyways. Dude this shit is all opinions regardless and the truth of the matter is the majority of America believes the way I do about the freedom to have a gun for protection.

I actually think that every homeowner should equip their house with RPG's and grenades incase of attacks like this. I lob a grenade around those guys and their either dead or out the door way more effective than a gun, bear spray or a budgie.

Okay I understand what you're saying and I'm tried of arguing because it's exhausting, we obviously aren't going to change each other's opinions. I am very thankful he is, but most cases like this robbers will get what they need and then kill, that way there would be no one to testify? Do you get the point I'm making? Even after he have them the stuff they could of easily just went ahead and killed him to protect themselves. I understand some of you would rather take the chance of getting robbed and then not being shot but I would rather take the alternative route.
