What car should I get?

I like fast cars and i have a decently fast car right now. the problem is that its an automatic transmission. I was thinking about getting an old mazda miata or a fox body mustang. Im open to any ideas. i have about 6000 grand to spend.

But on the real though if you want something fast go with a 240sx you can find a decent SR swapped 240 for around 6k depending on where you live

if by fast you mean in straight line get the mustang, if by fast you mean around a corner get a miata.

btw i have a 92 miata and can answer any questions you have about them

I am suspicious of this thread... but anyway imo dont go subaru they arnt really that good of cars and most of the time abused when you buy them used. also pretty much any fwd or awd car now a days is acceptable in the snow if you need it for that, So Volkswagon TDI's are a top pick for me or a volvo, and a wagon is an awesome choice for skiing! But if you just want speed for cheap go Z32 300zx twin turbo, relatively easy to find aswell.

straight line speed go with a second gen ford taurus sho. You will blow by every stock mustang and have a car that will be cheep that won't be followed by every cop.

You could get a pretty nice MR2 for that much. I also like the 240sx idea. Just keep in mind that neitherof these cars is very fast stock.

imo they are such good bang for your buck, I have an 88 turbo now fun head turner and my buddy just finished his 1990 twinturbo coupe, with a chip, exhaust and light engine mods (BOV, lightened flywheel, lighten pullys etc.) hes getting a solid 400hp to the wheels. Thats all for under $6000 and its a blast

for an s60, really? i've driven the r design and while it's fun, it's nothing special

the polestar is just a glorified r design with some mods. and for the $110,000 pricetag? you can find something much better. exclusivity doesn't make it anything special either, since it's still just an s60. you could buy a brand new s60 and mod it better than the polestar and still have a decent sum of money left over

and the last is a concept car. so you're saying you'd fuck my grandma that likely won't be put into production and is there for show

you of all people i'd expect to have better taste in cars. although you did recently acquire the book club soccer mom suv

Well, you've got 6000 grand, which by using advanced mathematical techniques comes out to around 6 million dollars.

I'd say go for a Koenigsigg Agera R. Only a mil, so you'd have 5 million leftover.

if anything this is more impressive since he strings them together

volvo really isn't that great. you're chalking it up to be an incredible auto manufacturer. do they make good cars? yeah. are they nice? sure. are they on the high pedestal you're making them out to be? hell no. there's nothing special about a volvo except the price you pay when it needs to be serviced or for parts

Miatas may not be fast but they'll be fun to drive. If you really want to, you can buy one for ~3k, then spend the other 3k on turboing it. Flyin miata makes some good kits:

No tuning, no fuss for the Voodoo. Im looking at a NA Miata currently, seem like great little cars, though impractical compared to a 4 seater

Fox bodies are light and can be built into stupid fast street legal drag cars for cheap, and Miatas are pretty much known as cheap track rat cars that are fun to drive. Would I drive either of them? Probably not, but you can't really deny that they're both pretty good cars for the money.
