Thin Beanies?

Like some of you out there I've got a big dome. When I wear a regular beanie under my helmet it doesn't fit correctly. No, I can't get a bigger helmet, I have an XL smith maze. I was looking around at Under Armour and they seem to have some thin beanies but they seem to be a little overkill for under a helmet. Does anybody know/have/used any thinner beanies that would work well under a helmet?

Smartwool makes a good one, obviously its warm and you can still wear it like a normal beanie. Assuming you can find it not in their goofy patterns, got mine at EMS

No because that wouldn't be warm enough. The ones I found at Under Armour were like hardcore fleece and ear warmers and shit. I want it to be the same warmth of a regular beanie just thinner.

Rime and smart wool. Only beanies that I can fit under my XL POC backcountry receptor Don't underestimate skullcaps they can be warm as hell depending on the material If you are down to spend some cash, arcteryx makes a nice thin beanie....for like $60

just buy a balaclava and wear just that. that's what i do when i wear my Large helmet cause xl is too big but large with a beanie is too small so i wear just a balaclava

Not really a beanie, but there's a company out there called Turtle Fur and they make this thing called a shellaclava. I use one most of the time when I ski. The top is a thin, silky material while the bottom is a thick 'turtle fur'. Best thing you can buy new skiing related for like $20
